The Incomplete Denial (from the series: Ars Longa Vita Brevis)
This statue resides in the Kimball Art Museum, in Fort Worth, Texas – or it does if “resides” is the right word, which it may not be. Nothing about this remarkable work seems to reside. It was unfortunate that the museum was closing when I suddenly came across it. I never had time to discover who cast this enchanting bronze, or even what the correct title of it is. So I invented a title, which can act as a placeholder, until some passing reader posts a comment and puts me out of my ignorance.
This bronze breathes life like few I have ever seen. No image of it will ever do it justice.
