This image depicts (from left to right) James Governor, analyst (blog at Monkchips), and Jeff Jonas, IBM data guru - in animated conversation. Needless to say, the conversation was about data. It took place at an IBM EMEA analyst event in Lisbon, Portugal.

In a presentation at the event, Jeff Jonas had proposed the radical idea, that “a query is itself data”. (Now is no time for me to go into the meaning of this). James was clearly animated by the idea and had button-holed Jeff. I took a couple of photos and then joined the conversation. James made room for me on the strange “oyster seat” - a seat that is easier to lie on than sit on. We talked our jaws off, from a prone position.
