At the Diving Contest (from the series: Still Lives)

The University of Texas, at Austin, has an Olympic-size swimming pool and the local schools hold their swimming galas there. On this occasion, the diving and the swimming took place concurrently. I was in the wrong place as usual, talking to all the wrong people and carrying the wrong camera. It was inevitable that I’d take the wrong picture.

So, I mis-took this image. I vaguely pointed the camera in the direction of the divers and took about 10 shots, but each one was meaningless except this one. And this one only exists because I clicked the button too late. It captured something, and then took it prisoner.
