Neil will either be flattered or horrified when he reads that I think he looks a little like Elvis Costello. So with the idea of enhancing his ‘rock star resemblance” I messed with this photo, which I took at a CA analyst conference earlier this year. (I’m a Photoshop dilettante - I just applied one filter after another, deleting ones that didn’t work). Eventually I got something I liked, that was both grainy and funky.

In case you don’t know, Neil is one of “the two Neils”, the other of which is Neil Ward-Dutton. Together they founded MWD (often confused with WMD by those who have trouble handling TLAs). Both are quality consultants and quality analysts. The two of them co-authored a book with Jon Collins and Dale Vile called The Technology Garden: Cultivating Sustainable IT-Business Alignment. Is it full of IT wisdom? I can’t say because I’ve not received my free copy yet.
