Ian Wesley, In The Spotlight (from the series: The IT Analyst Gallery)

Ian is one of those analysts who seems to have been around since IT Analysis was invented and it’s even possible that he had a hand in inventing it. He was an Ovum Analyst for many years. But not so long ago Ovum was acquired by DataMonitor. As is often the case with such acquisitions, it led to yet another analyst diaspora.

Ian discovered that the new entity he’d been co-opted into was not to his liking. He became part of the Ovum diaspora last year and now ploughs his own furrow as an independent analyst. He’s been around long enough to know about or bluff his way through just about every area of IT. Here he is, caught in the spotlight in a photo that was taken not so long ago at some nameless analyst gathering.
