I downloaded the official photo or Eric Schmidt from Google and concluded that I could improve on it with a few Photoshop filters. The above is what I finally arrived at. The photo is thus a derivative work, originally “courtesy of Google”.

Eric can be congratulated for his stewardship of Google. He’s managed to give the company far more coherence than it had prior to his arrival. Nevertheless it was a dream appointment. In my forceasts for 2008, I included one which suggested that this is the year when Google overtakes Microsoft. If it doesn’t happen, I’ll write to Eric to complain.
