Hi ZuDfunck

I agree with your Minority Report perception; it just seems that such an interface has to be useful, especially if you happen to have a 60 inch screen. However an air mouse (or a pair of them) might be just as effective or even more effective, especially if you're working in a group around the screen.

It's definitely time fro Apple to launch a Mac tablet. I don't believe they haven't been working on one.

I want a touch screen Mac.
Activated by fingers as in the iPhone.

Stephen brings up a good point about apps interfacing with such a device that I hadn't thought of...

But I just want a touchscreen Mac and I suppose I mean a tablet because if my iMac was a touchscreen to Robin's point my arms would tire but then it might be good exercise.

It was my favorite part in the movie Minority Report and I just love the thought of my fingers as opposed to my arms to do my composing of images or blog posts like the wizard in that Disney cartoon to the music of Stokowski.

So Apple power people, influencer's of the one more thing bit. Please put Tablet Mac somewhere in there and I will keep dreaming.

I use a touchscreen all the time, on a pocket computer. (I hate the terms NIT, tablet, and so on.) The OS is Linux, and the apps have problems because many were written for a three button mouse. At least Apple started with a one button mouse.

But one of the guys at work has a very nice pen interface where he can hover over a point, then touch it to get a click. It's expensive now, but it shows the most promise.

Perhaps the stylus could have a magnet in the tip, so the screen could sense position in addition to touch.
